What "2g disposable" means

The 2g on the label is the amount of oil in the pen: two grams, roughly double the 1g size that many disposables ship with. A disposable pairs that oil with a sealed battery and a heating element so there is nothing to assemble. Good Grass pens have a rubber end plug and a cap, which is the detail our customers mention most often in reviews.

What "hemp-derived Delta-9 THC" means

Delta-9 THC is the main intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. "Hemp-derived" means the THC in the oil comes from hemp as federal law defines it. The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 defines hemp as the cannabis plant, and any part or derivative of it, with a Delta-9 THC concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis (7 U.S.C. 1639o). Good Grass products are made to stay within that definition. The U.S. Department of Agriculture runs the federal hemp program under that law (USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, hemp program). States add their own rules, and several restrict or ban hemp-derived THC products, which is why we do not ship to every state (see the shipping notes below). Laws in this area change; check your state's current rules before you order.

What is on the label

Every Good Grass vape label carries the flavor name, the strain profile the flavor is named for (indica, sativa or hybrid), the 2g fill, the Delta-9 THC content as tested, the batch or lot number that matches a certificate of analysis, the 21+ notice, and the federal disclosure lines. The strain name describes the flavor family on the label; it is not a description of how the pen will make you feel, and we do not make claims about that.

How to check the lab results

Each batch is tested by a third-party lab, and the certificate of analysis (COA) is posted on our COAs page. A COA is a chemistry report. The two lines that matter most for a hemp vape are total THC and Delta-9 THC by weight, which show the product sits within the 0.3 percent federal definition, and the contaminant panel, which lists any screens the lab ran for residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides or microbials and the result for each. Match the lot number on your pen to the lot number on the COA. A COA does not say anything about what a product does; it says what is in it.
